The Government Affairs Committee (GAC) is comprised of members with interest or expertise in state legislative or regulatory affairs and includes liaisons from the BOC and the COPA. The group oversees the association’s governmental relations and regulatory efforts and advocates for regulation favorable to athletic training. 

Secondary Schools

The AATA Secondary School Athletic Trainers’ Committee is dedicated to recognizing the unique concerns and responsibilities associated with the secondary school athletic training practice setting, and to developing resources that enhance the effectiveness and marketability of athletic trainers working in this setting.

Public Relations

The purpose of the Public Relations Committee (PR) is to provide input and direction to AATA's public relations program.

Young Professionals - Alaska Representative

EMILY HUSTON

The purpose of the Young Professionals Committee (YPC) is to help connect, support, and address issues for athletic trainers within their first 12 years after certification/licensure. Each state has their own YP representative under the NATA which is further broken down and grouped by district. Alaska is part of District 10.

Annual Meeting Planning Committee

The Annual Meeting Planning Committee is responsible for planning the business and education portion of the AATA annual meeting.
